Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Phoenix is Hiring a HR/Payroll Administrator Near Phoenix, AZ

Founded in 1966, Paul Davis is a rapidly growing franchise network of more than 350 independently owned and operated businesses which provide emergency services, repair, and clean-up to residential and commercial property related to fire, water, storm, mold, and other natural disasters.

Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Phoenix is looking for a Human Resource/Payroll Administrator to manage recruiting, training, and on-boarding of all prospective employees. Job duties will include handling employee relations, orientation, retention. Processing payroll, approving timecards, and assisting with job costing through Paylocity platform. Management of the health benefits packages adding and removing employees and managing open-enrollment periods.

Job Details

  1. Recruiting:  We use Paylocity to post jobs for prospective employees. Our expectation is that you will create or edit, manage, and close all job postings according to the needs of the company. We desire that you be an active recruiter and onboard new employees according to the Paul Davis Way and local, state and federal laws.
  2. On-Boarding: We use Paylocity to manage I-9’s, employee information, and eligibility. Your responsibility will be to coordinate applicant drug screens, conduct reference checks, background checks, and social security number verifications through this platform. You will conduct an in-person orientation with employees on their first day. This will include introduction to the Paul Davis Way, apps used within each department, and benefits package offered to each employee. 
  3. Payroll Duties: Ability to process bi-weekly payroll through Paylocity. Be prepared to post time entries for job costing and manage time clock corrections.
  4. Employee Management: Ability to support the management team to resolve employee relations and human resource conflict. We ask that you participate in monthly check-ins with employees to set goals, develop processes and procedures that support company growth. Coordinating and presenting the Tech of the Month at each monthly meeting. Facilitating employee health insurance registration, maintenance and questions.
  5. Professionalism: Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. We except you to communication professionally with employees, colleagues, customers, and future employees. 
  6. Management Liaison: We ask that you perform other reasonable job duties that are needed of you by the management team. Will consider assistance with job entries, vehicle management and ordering of supplies/uniforms. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

Required

1. All applicants must be capable of passing a background check and have all required I-9 documentation

2. Must be PC proficient with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook

3. Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods while working on a computer

4. Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions

5. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

6. Detail oriented and excellent written and verbal communication skills

7. Excellent interpersonal and time management skills

Preferred

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, or other associated degrees or certifications

2. Prior HR experience highly recommended with basic working knowledge of HR Management Principles

3. Prior experience in recruiting and on-boarding new hires

4. Experience with online job boards and recruiting websites

5. Paylocity experience.
