Job Summary
The Director of Marketing Events is responsible for all aspects of event planning and execution including finances, contracts/negotiations, timelines, staffing, and vendors, with events in a variety of sizes, venues, with target audiences all to achieve the goals of the organization. This role is responsible for managing 20 events per year, working with our leadership team to understand the objectives, deliver against those, and ensure that our audiences leave knowing they experienced a first-class event.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage our corporate calendar of events to ensure deliverables, milestones, and budget management goals are met
• Direct the Events support team through accountable and actionable requirements, addressing any concerns or needs in a timely manner
• Communicate regularly with leadership regarding event details
• Proactively monitor the competitive landscape, along with the target areas to ensure maximum impact for all events
• Creatively identify any opportunities for additional client reach, problem solving needs, and cost savings efforts
• Report regularly to leadership regarding event updates, KPIs, and areas for opportunity
• Able to manage remote events including venue selection, managing vendors, and logistics planning
• Responsible for the profitability of all events
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Background and 5 years in corporate event planning
• Able to travel with the team to remote events, up to 20 per year
• Experience in trade show events a plus
• Experience managing a team to drive corporate goals and meet team objectives
