COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR OUR TEAM

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we implemented additional safety precautions for in-home and center-based services; such as the mandatory use of face masks, daily health screenings, frequent hand washing, disinfection of work surfaces, and more. We provide all the necessary resources and materials for our team members to lead safe therapy sessions.

YOUR VALUED ROLE

The Area Manager is responsible for the management of multiple clinics in a defined region to ensure the delivery of quality services and best practice standards. An Area Manager is also responsible for the oversight of clinical and organizational outcomes for all clients, BCBAs and/or supervisors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clinical Leadership

  • Supervise an area with multiple clinics providing service to clients by:
    • Ensuring clinical standardization practices are implemented across sites
    • Providing input/feedback to Operations Team and DCT related to organizational practices or structure
    • Implementing and monitoring reorganization/restructuring and implementation of organizational management processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and/or clinical quality
    • Overseeing area leaders’ implementation of standardization practices, organizational practices, and other structural/clinical requirements
    • Providing support to area leaders as needed to ensure clinic organizational stability, clinical quality, and implementation of new practices
    • Providing input into new clinical or organizational protocols and procedures, assisting with development and implementation of finalized product
    • Maintaining a minimum caseload of 10 hours per week of supervision and/or parent consultation services (may include on-site or telehealth delivery of treatment)
    • May include assisting with caseload coverage during times of staff turnover, medical leave or extended absence
  • May include supervision of Clinical Managers or Clinical Directors if parties are not already supervised by the ECD or DCT
  • Monitor and ensure effective clinical training at all levels in the area
  • If stakeholder concerns have not been addressed by the Clinical Manager and/or Clinical Director, address stakeholder concerns/complaints, or escalate as needed.
  • Monitor billable hours and caseload standards, per area
    • Collaborate with Operations team to monitor area performance
    • Collaborate with Operations and Executive teams to identify effective organizational behavior management supports to ensure continued success and meaningful recognition plans for individuals and clinics meeting performance requirements
    • Collaborate with CD/CM staff to create and/or implement performance improvement plans for areas/clinics not meeting performance requirements
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Operations teams to ensure performance is monitored and corrective action is taken, when necessary
  • Provide on-site support to area offices throughout each week, having a physical presence to engage with both clinical and operations teams on-site in each clinic to improve monitoring and supportive practices
  • In collaboration with DCT, implement and monitor roll-out of standard clinical supervision practices at all levels, including employees earning fieldwork hours for BACB or other board/licensure requirements

Organizational Leadership

  • Support remediation of identified clinical deficits or vulnerabilities
    • Develop a comprehensive plan to remediate the identified clinical deficiencies and present plan to DCT for finalization
    • Oversee implementation of finalized plan with time-limited benchmarks
    • Report on plan benchmarks, making recommendations for plan adjustments as needed
  • Review and monitor staff satisfaction, turn over, retention programs, supervisor satisfaction, Director and Manager satisfaction, and make recommendations related to results
  • Execute and develop updates to clinical workflows, practices and the PATTERNS standards of care to remain in compliance with the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) accreditation standards and other regulatory/certification bodies
    • Demonstrate proficiency with BHCOE standards
    • Assist with BHCOE audits, certification, and reviews
  • Meet with DCT and/or other members of the Executive Team to present ideas for development, organizational practice change, or other improvement initiatives
  • Participate in the implementation and oversight of any approved initiatives
  • Collaborate with other area leadership across the PATTERNS national footprint
  • Oversee County-related operations management across the area, including county reporting requirements, communications with case managers, intake flow, and portal management
  • Participate in County meetings, groups, or other forums
  • Monitor area Operations Coordinators
  • BCBA certification
  • Master’s degree
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working in ABA field
  • 3 years of supervisory or managerial exeperience
  • Knowledge and experience with Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
  • Experience conducting assessments
  • Be a master problem-solver, ability to think globally, and sound decision-making skills
