Pathstream is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help automate and scale business operations and contribute in a meaningful way to the growth and development of the Engineering team.

This is a full-time position based out of our HQ in San Francisco, CA -OR- remote and reports to the Engineering Manager.

THE ROLE

• Build a platform that has a meaningful impact in the lives of students and stakeholders
• Contribute to the development of technical infrastructure that helps automate and scale business operations
• Manage entire software development life cycle including clarifying requirements, engineering design, coding, release, and post-release maintenance
• Support the learning and development of colleagues through code reviews, pairing sessions, and constructive feedback delivered in a timely and considerate way
• Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders and colleagues in the Product team

ABOUT YOU

• 5 years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on backend development
• Demonstrable expertise in Ruby on Rails and AWS
• History of building zero to one technical products in a high-growth small or startup organization
• Preference for working with a collaborative team and contributing to the development of colleagues
• Ideal candidate will have experience building and scaling digital products from MVP
