About the position

As our Head of Sales you will align with Pathlight’s core values to create a superior Sales organization in our high-growth environment. Reporting to the CEO, you will own the company’s sales process and playbook. You’ll work closely with your team and leadership to execute on key initiatives important to the next phase of our growth and evolution as a business. We are looking for someone extremely hands on who will make sure a robust pipeline is developed that enables the achievement of bookings and revenue plans. Being data-driven and leading your team in that way are important to success in this role. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Partner with the Pathlight CEO and executive team on all GTM matters
  • Build and manage high-performing, process-oriented sales teams, including: Enterprise Sales AEs; Sales Engineers; Sales Managers; Mid Market AEs and SMB reps; as well as BDRs, who meet and exceed quota on acquiring net new business
  • Mentor, coach, motivate, retain and expand a world class sales team
  • Take a playbook-driven and operational approach to sales leadership, ensuring that the sales process is scalable, repeatable and predictable
  • Create long-term sales plans including: strategies; goals; quotas; tracking mechanisms, analytics; territories and compensation plans
  • Provide weekly reporting on sales activities and progress against targets
  • A background of hitting and exceeding sales quota by hunting for opportunities and converting to earned revenue
  • Dedicate time to prospecting for net new opportunities and engaging prospective customers
  • Ensure team commitment and consistency to sales methodology
  • Build healthy cross-functional relationships across all Pathlight lines of business
  • Help to drive recruitment efforts

What you’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years in B2B SaaS sales and at least two-years experience as a frontline SaaS sales manager, driving complex sales and overseeing the close of 6-figure deals
  • The ability to drive prospecting of new business and build pipeline, outside of the opportunities generated by Marketing and BRDs
  • Experience in Inside Sales - taking that operational mindset and applying it to Enterprise
  • Experience selling SaaS products to technical customers
  • Experience scaling a sales organization in a SaaS B2B environment
  • Proven ability in automating processes and creating systems
  • Ambition and hunger to help build Pathlight
  • Data-driven mindset
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a joy for tackling tough problems
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Superior communication skills in both internal and external settings

The starting salary for this role is $190,000. Additional compensation to include: commissions (as applicable), annual bonus structure (as applicable), full benefits and perks.
