The Jobat aGlance

As the Distribution CenterManager, you will drive department initiatives through planning, organizing, controlling, and primarily focusing on theInbound supply side operation. You will coordinate team members to generate a smooth workflow, spearhead quality through process improvement, manage team schedules,build a daily staffing plan based on volume and labor projections. You will be a superior team-builder through coaching and developing team members, planning daily activities, making on-the-floor decisions to eliminate operational constraints and bottlenecks, and leading process improvement efforts.

A Typical Day

  • Collaborate with Distribution Center leaders on process improvement, implementing solutions and uncovering further opportunities to drive growth and efficiency gains
  • Oversee the daily incoming purchase orders to ensure all stock is received and putaway in a safe and organized manner
  • Drive safety initiatives, teamwork, productivity, and quality to improve team member skills
  • Improve workspace to optimal efficiency by utilizing 5S components

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have previous experience in an operations manager role, bonus points if you have Distribution Center experience
  • You thrive in a team-based atmosphere and can the simultaneously manage independent projects
  • You demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel
  • You possess the ability to move around for long periods of time and consistently lift 30 pounds unassisted
  • If have previous experience with warehouse management systems, it’s a plus!
  • You display excellent communication skills with all team members and are fluent in English (written and verbal
