Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Labor and Delivery Department will have the following job responsibilities:

• Responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients with a broad range of illnesses.
• The RN is involved in direct and indirect patient care.
• The RN provides direction to licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) and other non-licensed nursing personnel in providing direct patient care.
• The staff nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.
• In collaboration with other health team members, follows the philosophy, policies and goals of the facility and department.
• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with facility and departmental policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice.
• This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction.
• The Registered Nurse utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of patients on his or her assigned unit.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS-

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Full-Time

Registered Nurse candidates for the Labor and Delivery Department must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited nursing program.
• Must have a California RN license, or have one in process.
• Must have BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association approved courses.
• Candidates must have Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certificate and then AWHONN Fetal Monitoring.
• Must have NRP certification.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience working in the Labor and Delivery Department.
