SENIOR TECHNICAL WRITER – MANUFACTURING ADMINISTRATION (HYBRID/REMOTE)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Technical Writer transforms complex information into clear and concise technical documents. This individual will develop new and/or update procedures, training materials, forms, and other content for use by all levels of our employee base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update existing written procedures supporting our revision of business processes as part of a new ERP implementation.
• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
• Review, edit, and proofread content developed by other members of the team.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Recent, working knowledge of the tenets of technical writing required.
• Professionally sophisticated written and oral communication skills (English), including presentation skills, required.
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal communication skills a must; including a willingness to accept and act on constructive feedback from co-workers and stakeholders.
• Strong attention-to-detail orientation and passion for producing high-quality work while remaining pragmatic and efficient required.
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, follow-up and follow-through with action items in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required. Project Management skills a plus.
• Prior experience and comfort working independently required.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Products including Word, basic Visio, SharePoint, Teams/Zoom) also required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, English Literature, Communications, or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing and editing of professional documentation, preferably in a high-tech, science-based, or regulated environment required.
• GMP and/or quality operations experience optimal.
• Electronic Document Management System, such as MasterControl, experience preferred.
