OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Vice President of Programs, the Director of Programs will be responsible for all of Parry Labs’ USAF and Navy pursuits. This role will support all aspects of USAF and Navy development, from the execution of existing contracts to future concepts, to modifications of legacy fleets. The right candidate for this position must bring a holistic view across a diverse set of military domains.

The Director of Programs will oversee a team tasked with delivering solutions on time and within budget while working to find areas of growth and new business. She/he will also anticipate shifts in the market and position the company to take full advantage of the changes (including creating new solutions and offerings to meet the developing needs of customers). The Director will have frequent interaction with the customers as well as delivering progress and financial reports to the senior leadership of Parry Labs - this includes developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing strategic business plans; understanding the business concerns and issues faced by the USAF and Navy; and building and delivering business solutions that delight the customer.

This person must be a seasoned, yet progressive leader with the proven ability to establish strong relationships with key members of the USAF and Navy as well as internally with Parry Labs’ executive team. She/he will lead the successful operation, execution and management of provided solutions and promote their evolution on a mission-focused basis. The ability to orchestrate the technical strengths of the team with the strategic objectives of the group will be critical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assume full P&L management of USAF & Navy operations
  • Provide insights, recommendations and support for the overall strategy for the USAF and Navy, including how to represent Parry Labs’ broad capabilities with the customer.
  • With the business development team, this person will provide input on and participate in the execution of the organic growth plan including identifying target clients and key executives, leveraging and partnering with the existing customer base and capitalizing on thought leadership development and market visibility opportunities.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team that is known for meeting and exceeding objectives and is proactive in creating opportunities within national security
  • Collaborate with peers to leverage relevant solutions with other customers

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15 years of defense industry experience with 5 years of program management experience
    • USAF and/or Navy air to air, and air to sea operations experience is highly desirable
    • US Joint Operations Applied knowledge of military data links, IP networks, weaponry, large force employment, payloads, strike and survivability, and military communications.
    • Must possess working knowledge of DoD architecture requirements, DoDAF framework, and familiarity of USAF, Navy, and Joint doctrines
    • Experience with DoD JCIDS and Acquisition processes
    • Current TS security
  • Experience integrating with platform Vehicle Management System (VMS) and autonomous Avionics Mission Systems
  • Experience growing programs, moving up the value chain, and managing complex equities across the company
  • Past execution of Program Management on technical programs with cost, schedule excellence
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing against new business model
  • Past performance of high growth in commercial products and/or services segments
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and manage critical customers

EDUCATION

A BS in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering; a Master’s Degree or MBA is desired.
