We seek qualified Cooks and Cook Assistants to join the Parkside Family in our Dietary Department.

We have full-time positions available as outlined below, working 5 days per week. Must be able to work every other weekend. COMPETITIVE PAY RATE.

• Morning Shift: 5:00am to 1:00pm
• Evening Shift: 11:30am to 7:30pm

• Provides assistance in all dietary department functions, including cook and aide.
• Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Handles food using proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and regulations
• Utilizes standardized recipes in the preparation of foods.
• Makes only authorized substitutions to the planned menu and records the substitution according to established policies.
• Prepares food for residents, employees, and special events as the supervisor instructs.
• Prepares and serves food according to the planned menu and the resident's food preferences and diet orders.
• Maintains the proper temperature of food during preparation and service.
• Prepares and serves food promptly.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Performs assigned cleaning utilizing the proper cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications

• Must have one year of dietary cook experience, preferably in a hospital, SNF, or related medical facility.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
