Qualifications

•To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

•Skilled nursing facility (SNF) or related healthcare experience

•Must be computer literate and capable of learning new software.

Responsibilities

•As an Assistant Administrator, you will be working with a team of administrative and clinical professionals to lead staff and manage the facility in the day-to-day functions of a 430-bed facility in accordance with the current Federal, State, County and Local standards that regulate long-term care

•Work with the licensed Administrator in all aspects of nursing home management

•Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator

This position requires the ability to work independently and with a team, be flexible, and have the ability to work effectively with the elderly and personnel and support agencies.The work schedule is primarily during normal business hours with occasional evening and weekend commitments

Sinai Post Acute Nursing & Rehab in Newark NJ is seeking an Assistant Administrator that is a highly motivated individual interested in a rewarding career in long-term care. As an Assistant Administrator, you will be working with a team of administrative and clinical professionals to lead staff and manage the facility.The Assistant Administrator will be responsible for attending daily morning report, committee meetings, safety meetings and any other meetings as applicable.The Assistant Administrator will represent the facility at, and participates in, management level meetings with the County and outside organization as well as maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike.Assistant Administrator will be involved in reviewing accidents and incidents and makes recommendations for an effective safety program for the residents as well as reviewing resident complaints and grievances and makes written reports of action taken. The Assistant Administrator is responsible for conducting routine rounds of the facility to observe and correctly address any deficiencies within the facility. This may include but is not limited to purchasing equipment, following up on orders, and any required service calls.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Assistant Administrator must participate in continuing education as well as informational meetings involving the facility and long-term care. The position may require some travel outside the facility. The work schedule is primarily during normal business hours with occasional evening and weekend commitments. This position requires intermittent periods of standing; sitting; walking; and is subject to frequent interruptions.
