Paragon Armed Security Officers are responsible for controlling accessing, foot and/or vehicle patrols and preserving order at the client's site. As an armed officer in the Energy Sector applicants must be 21 years of age or older and meet NRC background screening requirements for access.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 21 years of age or older
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work rotating shift schedule day and night
• Must possess a CA Guard Card and CA Exposed firearms Permit with 9mm caliber, other calibers not
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for armed security work and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet certification requirements for Basic Life Support CPR/AED and First Aid from American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.
• Ability to see, hears, speak, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients. Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
• Courteous telephone manner.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to provide high quality customer service.
• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures.
• Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Suite, computer usage, and operating controls.

Military, Law Enforcement background or previous Security experience is preferred, but not required. Willing to submit to background procedures including drug screen and background check.

• 8-hour shifts with OT available to support 24/7
• Training pay - $22.50 p/h. Upon completion of training pay increases to $28.33p/h.
• BSIS renewals / re-qualifications paid by Uniforms and all equipment provided by company.

Wage range for this position is $22.50-$28.33
