Paperless Post is seeking a customer-focused Quality Assurance Engineer to work closely with our Product and Engineering teams.

As a member of the QA team you will be embedded in one or feature teams and you will ensure each new feature is flawlessly integrated to our site while existing features continue to work seamlessly.

You will:

• Create and maintain test plans for feature releases.
• Evaluate when to use manual vs automated testing.
• Automate test cases for new features when adequate.
• Execute test plans, as a combination of manual and automated steps.
• Vet the readiness of features for production via feature testing and regression-testing other areas of the site.
• Write clear and thorough bug tickets for the development team.
• Work with Product Managers, Product Designers and Engineers in creating acceptance criteria for stories.
• Work closely with the team to incorporate solutions for user-facing bugs and usability issues into sprint planning.
• Participate in all Scrum ceremonies of the teams in which you are embedded.

You have:

• 5 years in a QA role at a consumer-facing internet company, including QA of mobile applications, preferably both Android and iOS.
• Experience with an automation framework, preferably Testim or Detox.
• Working knowledge of Jira or a similar tracking and management tool.
• Working knowledge of GitHub or a similar version control tool.
• Hands-on knowledge of a modern programming language, preferably JavaScript.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment or enthusiasm to get started in one and basic knowledge of the process.
• Ability to execute seamlessly within changing priorities.
• Superb communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Computer science background.
• Knowledge experience with Postman.

The compensation range for this role is $ 125,000 - 140,000 USD. 

At Paperless Post, compensation is based on a number of factors, including geographic location, job-related skills, years of experience, and internal team banding. All full-time offer packages come with a base salary, equity component, and options for fully paid medical, dental, and vision benefits.The range posted here is based on the NYC market and may vary based on candidate location.
