PandaExpress Avenue B & 24TH is Hiring a Cook (PT) Near Yuma, AZ

- Training: Trains Kitchen Help in cooking dishes according to the company recipe and standard. Trains and guides Kitchen Help and other store Associates in performing BOH responsibilities.
- Associate Relations: Participates in creating a safe and empowering environment for Team Panda to listen, appreciate and challenge each other. Proposes ways to improve processes.
- Work Environment: Participates in creating a safe and empowering environment for Team Panda to listen, appreciate and challenge each other. May propose ways to improve processes.
- Store Environment: Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary store environment in compliance with Operations standards, following proper procedures in the use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals. Conducts the food safety and work safety checklists. Operates all kitchen equipment, including the Chinese knife and wok, following proper procedures and safety guidelines.
- Exceptional Guest Experience: Builds emotional connection with Guests through Food, Service & Ambiance. Follows Panda recipes in order to deliver exceptional food quality at the store.
- Operations: Uphold high Operation Standards and being the Best. Under the guidance of the GM/AM/Chef, schedules and guides Kitchen Help to ensure smooth kitchen operation and serves as a role model. Proposes ways to improve processes. Performs FOH duties as needed.
- Brand Awareness: Assists GM/AM/Chef in preparing new dishes as part of national and local marketing initiatives. Monitors food quality for recipe compliance and ensures dishes meet company standards.
- Administration: May assist the GM in administrative responsibilities, such as ordering food items.
- Some high school.
- Minimum one year of Operations experience required.
- Local/municipal requirements, such as Food Handler certification, acquired at applicant’s own
expense.
- Embody and teach Panda’s Mission, Values, Culture, and Environment.
- Basic understanding of all Operations practices and concepts, including store opening and
closing. - Thorough knowledge of recipes and cooking utensils.
- Ability to perform all cooking activities and cook all recipes.
- Ability to perform all Back of House responsibilities.
- Ability to train new or existing kitchen staff.
- Understanding of work and food safety and application of food and work safety checklists.
- Understanding of proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals.
- Familiar with FOH responsibilities.
