Palisades Holdings,Inc. is looking for a full-time Business Analyst to join its team ofprofessionals. This is a remote work position, but will require travel to the Palisades Holdings, Inc. business offices in Baker, Louisiana approximately 1-2 times per year and travel to company/service center sites as required. 

Summary of Position

• Candidate must excel at data visualization, developing business cases, working independently as well as in teams, and adapting to changing goals/milestones.
• Work with companies to identify strategic and tactical improvements and/or opportunities, and work with IT management to assist in the prioritization of those needs.
• Serve as liaison between the software development team and companies in order to document requirements and business processes.
• Assist software development, and IT support teams with problem analysis, tracking, and resolution.
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
• Assist in project planning, estimation, and reporting activities.
• Assist software development team with testing and QA activities.
• Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for internal customers.
• Troubleshoot incoming support tickets.
• Design training guides to increase support and efficiency. 
• Provide SQL data outputs to businesses upon request.
• Manually test workflows to determine if bugs are present in software.
• Provide BTS system administration, licensing/user management, user training, and handle support requests for all BTS companies. 
• Create and update tickets in Jira.
• Assist senior business analyst and IT support team with yearly or bi-yearly BTS upgrades.This includes reviewing all release notes, documenting bugs, creating an executive summary, testing, and client updates (which typically occur on the weekend).
• Provide additional assistance during BTS Conversions for different companies. 
• Turn direct support-based emails into tickets in our ticketing system Zendesk, which will allow better tracking and managing of requests.
• Utilize Microsoft Teams as a collaboration tool for messaging, calls, and meetings with members of the IT team.
• Participate in bi-weekly development team scrum meetings.
• Participate in monthly IT meetings.
• Support senior business analyst on new projects including: 
• Documentation of new enhancements, build announcements.
• The creation of new SQL data queries
• Other value-added initiatives for all companies.
• Assist in IT support and administration for all companies.
• Travel will be required:
• Palisades Holdings (Baker, LA): 1-2 visits a year approximately.
• Company/Service Centers: As required.
• Each month you will be required to log your hours spent with each company and component (i.e., BTS) into a time tracking application.

Desired Experience:

• B.S. in management information systems, business, finance, and/or computer science.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
• Knowledge of SQL including writing basic queries.
• Ability to communicate in writing.
• Ability to translate user/business needs into a technical style.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote.
• Preferred knowledge of: MySQL, Zendesk and Jira.
• Ability to do root cause analysis of data discrepancies on reporting.
• Strong client service skills.
