Palisade is Hiring a Regional Sales Manager Near Dallas, TX

The Role:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for proactively seeking out and closing new business to meet territory sales targets. This is done by maintaining a strong and consistent presence in the market, getting in front of people, devouring leads, building relationships, and asking for the sale. This is a true sales “hunter” role.

What You Will Do:

  •  Prospect new accounts, generate interest, qualify, develop, and close new business.
  • Grow sales opportunities generated from marketing activities, market research, and networking.
  • Respond within hours to incoming leads qualified by a Sales Development Representative.
  • Work independently to meet and exceed revenue targets and goals assigned to the territory.
  • Utilize team members to achieve goals. The team will include prequal Sales Development Reps, technical sales engineers, other reps, and corporate management.
  • Operate independently and effectively manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification through close. Reduce the sales cycle as much as possible.
  • Provide accurate monthly sales opportunity pipelines.
  • Work with clients to create corporate proposals that include software licenses, software maintenance, and software training - all tailored to the client's particular needs.
  • Learn client needs and budget. Upsell clients to the best solution for their needs.
  • Participate in, and help arrange software roadshows, conferences, chapter events, and other similar marketing events.
  • The job is 30% travel, not including local client visits.

What You Need To Get The Job Done:

  • Three or more years’ experience with an exceptional track record of selling software solutions to corporate clients. Established relationships are a big plus.
  • Possess excellent communication/presentation skills and the ability to interact with all levels within customer and partner organizations.
  • Exceptional selling, negotiating, prospecting, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and adequately communicate progress back to management.
  • Strong Excel skills, and an understanding of basic financial models.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems.
