Overview

Page is looking for a Mechanical Designer for our Chandler, Arizona office. The duties include design and construction administration in partnership with the Process and Mechanical Engineering team. Our industries include semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and high-tech manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop process piping and mechanical designs from concept through construction including developing equipment layouts for process and mechanical facility systems;
• Design in both 2D and 3D including equipment arrangement, P&IDs, pipe routing, sections, and details;
• Check and correct drawings and associated project paperwork as required;
• Work closely with project team to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information and are accurate;
• Travel, both domestic and international, may be required up to 10%:
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in piping design for process or mechanical systems in semiconductor, oil and gas, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical industries;
• 5 years of experience working in consulting engineering as a process or mechanical designer;
• Experience in gas and chemical systems, mechanical piping layout and design, process piping, process exhaust, space management, plumbing and fire protection, and HVAC ductwork layout and design;
• Minimum of two years’ experience with 3D/BIM platforms;
• Experience with 2D and 3D modelling platforms: AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, Autodesk REVIT, Plant 3D, Navisworks CADWorx or Microstation;
• Must be proficient in communication and organization.
