Purchasing Internship Summary:

The Purchasing Intern will be responsible for assisting the Purchasing Team with daily responsibilities. The position will provide the Intern an educational experience about the world of indirect materials procurement.

• Updating/entering purchase order details for Buyers
• Receive items in database based off packing slip
• Follow up on items received into PADNOS facilities
• Cost-code invoices
• Database entry of additional repairs/work orders of outsourced jobs such as van trailer repairs
• Entering assets into database
• Assist with buying responsibilities by placing orders
• Research new products and cost saving opportunities

Purchasing Internship Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferably in Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting
• Customer support or service experience
• Active listening skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to diffuse complaints and provide solutions to customers
• Demonstrated excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
