Pacifica Hospital Of The Valley is Hiring a Pharmacy Technician Near Sun Valley, CA
The PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, performs assigned tasks related to medication distribution in an accurate, timely and safe manner. In addition, the PHARMACY TECHNICIAN is responsible for maintaining appropriate patient records and inventory control.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fills physician orders, medication surgical kits, mediation carts and stock requisitions
- Replenishes medications in emergency drug containers and floor stock areas
- Maintains floor stock (restocking, removal of expired medication and stock rotation) of nursing areas and other medication areas. Stocks incoming medication deliveries. Processes returns and back orders in a timely manner.
- Prepares IV medication products within the guidelines of applicable laws and regulations.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- CA Registered Pharmacy Technician (Required)
- One (1) year experience in an acute care environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated computer competencies
- Excellent organizational skills
