POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: INSIDE STEEL SALES REPORTS TO: BRANCH MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: STEEL WAREHOUSE DATE: FEBRUARY 2021
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for making quotations on standard items, writing orders, and relaying pertinent order information to customers.
KEY RESULTS:
· Provides excellent customer service.
· Receives requests for price quotations, purchase orders, adjustments, and cancellations from customers.
· Makes price quotations on price book items and prepares forms for price quotations on items not contained in the price book.
· Retrieves customer information, stock status information, and purchase order information.
· Responsible for maintaining relationships with customers.
· Works closely with customers, distributors, and warehouse personnel to schedule shipments and deliveries.
· Maintains files of active orders and posts activities such as; order changes, scheduling changes, partial shipments, and credit changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
H.S. Diploma
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other basic computer systems
Excellent communication skills
Strong math skills
Flexible, and able to balance several projects at one time
Good work ethic, with high honesty and integrity
