We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to join our Enterprise Program Office in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site or hybrid. As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by supporting Actuarial/Finance transformation efforts – related to data, people, processes and technologies. How you will make an impact: This role will drive complex projects focused on Actuarial modeling and data & reporting across the enterprise Work closely with diverse project teams (matrixed org), maintaining project schedules and all supporting documents to ensure program/project is delivered within scope, schedule, cost, and specifications and to the satisfaction of stakeholders and sponsors. Lead and influence project sponsors, stakeholders and the core project team members in the successful completion / implementation of goals. Establish, analyze, and maintain scope, project plans, resources, report progress as required, generate risk assessments, escalate issues, facilitate project review presentations and meetings related to the projects/programs involving multiple stakeholders Serves as a liaison between Corporate and other Divisional teams; Develop, foster, and manage relationships with project/program sponsor(s) to influence effective decision making across the enterprise Support and/or partner to drive change management across the project Lead Workstream level status & health report outs Report out at an integrated program level Ability to distill information to an executive view (SteerCo) The experience you will bring: 7-10 years progressive experience in project/program management skills, techniques and methodology (Waterfall & Agile) Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, exhibit poise and exercise diplomacy in communication, ability to influence others toward consensus, conflict management and decision-making, and to direct work for project office colleague(s) Must be a self-starter, have demonstrated experience in a lead role, be well organized, able to coordinate multiple work streams, effectively managing their time and be a strong leader who can adapt rapidly to new developments and changing priorities Highly skilled in Smartsheet and MS productivity tools, including SharePoint, MS Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and other presentation and collaboration tools Strong in critical thinking, data analysis and reporting, risk and controls, and process improvement Background in strategic management and/or management consulting advantageous A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field What will make you stand out: Experience comprehending, explaining and executing various areas of Actuarial initiatives, e.g., modeling, shared services, data & reporting, etc. Experience in financial services and/or insurance MBA, PMP certification or other relevant study #LI-CY1 Base Pay Range: The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity.
