ResponsibilitiesIn keeping with Pacific Central Coast Health Centers health care philosophy under direction of the Revenue Integrity Manager the Billing Specialist: Prepares and submits billing claims electronically and by hard-copy with required attachments. Follows-up on rejected returned claims due to errors and denials due to billing process. Demonstrates computer and data entry proficiency. Assesses remote or other systems to communicate and obtain information for clean claim submission. Handle correspondence needs to support clean billing processes. Performs the 72 hour report and provides resolution to affected accounts. Performs daily billing download process. Researches and resolves late charges. Problem-solves technical billing issues. Performs logical analysis of high-dollar claim detail. Demonstrates thorough knowledge and technical use of Medicare remote access functions. Willingly performs other duties as assigned by supervision/manager.
QualificationsThree to Five years of healthcare billing. Computer or keyboarding experience.
