We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the marketing team with planning, executing, and tracking marketing programs and events, as well as the development of new marketing strategies.

With branch locations in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, Central Valley, Northern California, Hawaiin Islands, and Medford, OR. From our four decorative plumbing showrooms, we proudly serve our customers in Northern California and Hawaii.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; analyzing data to monitor campaigns and evaluate results, creating and managing the production of marketing collateral, helping with the organization of events, and providing project-specific administrative support.

From day one, this position will contribute to existing marketing programs and events, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and division goals. In addition to experience with communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media marketing, the ideal candidate will also have prior experience with event planning and execution. The Marketing Assistant must be an organized multitasker, able to manage many diverse projects at once, and meet tight deadlines.

Event Assistance

  • Plan and manage meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of marketing events such as sports related co-operative advertising promotions customer appereciation events.
  • Support the marketing team in implementing tactical events and programs.

Marketing Campaign Support

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy.
  • Assist in development and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Perform market and client research.
  • Maintain schedules for marketing initiatives.
  • Organize and manage marketing collateral.
  • Provide project and administrative support.

Content Creation

  • Support the development and distribution of marketing and sales materials for vendor campaigns.
  • Preparation of PowerPoint presentations, graphics/desktop publishing documents and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assist in production of advertising, marketing brochures, sales kits, clothing or other promotional materials.
  • Assist with social media and website content.
  • Assits in content writing for articlets and emails, while coordinating design graphic layouts supporting campaign.

Administrive

  • Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed.
  • Coordinate interoffice mailings, direct mailings, and email campaigns.
  • Generate and track purchase orders, receipts and invoices.
  • Answer public relations, marketing, and training emails.
  • Maintain inventory of promotional materials and employee clothing.

Tracking and Reporting

  • Conduct research to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape, and prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  • Create reports on marketing performance.
  • Assist with all activities associated with the expediting of co-operative advertising agreements, reimbursements, and promotions.
  • Maintain files and information for key vendors such as contacts, solution description, active deals, agreements, specific product information/versions of integration, marketing events, seminars, quotes, RFPs and website content.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical work hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. (Flexible start times)
  • Open to a Hybrid WFH schedule
  • Traveling and event set ups (Typically weekend events)
  • Prolonged stationary periods. May work in different settings that exceed normal climate controlled environments, such as outdoor event set ups or warehouse conditions

  • Periodically moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across the office or event set up 

  • Must be able to travel
  • In addition to regular business hours, this person will be expected to be available to work weekends and evenings on event days

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
  • 2 years of experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word)
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment
  • Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilities
  • Ability to spot emerging trends
  • Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong writing and copy-editing abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of wholesale/distribution/plumbing markets
  • Event planning and execution experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere) a plus
  • Digital photography and video editing experience a plus
