Summary Top plant management position responsible for achieving customer satisfaction, profitability, and sustained growth within our Pace Facility. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (But not limited to…) Know, comprehend, and support all applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions applicable to plant functions. Enforce conformance to all applicable procedures and work instructions as they pertain to plant functions. Participate in ongoing as well as annual reviews of plant-related procedures, work instructions, and forms. Provide input with corporate staff for the creation and ongoing use of the plant "Quality Plan". Plan tasks & actions to support the overall achievement of the business plan goals and objectives. Manage and direct plant management staff to complete items on divisional quality plan. Responsible for continuous improvement activities as they relate to divisional functions. Responsible for controlling costs (division) against projected monthly budgetary targets. Thus, netting out month ends at expected profitability percentages. Achievement of 100% on time delivery to all plant assigned customers. Instituting documented corrective countermeasures were not maintained. Support, monitor, and provide resource for implementation of internal & external corrective action(s). To include insuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are completed per timing established. Support corrective-action meetings on a scheduled basis. Enforce and promote synchronous flow manufacturing to optimize quality and productivity. Maintain and audit good housekeeping practices and habits. Direct resources to maintain customer satisfaction (schedules, quality, past dues, new launch support, and necessary containment). Responsible for customer interface as needed and/or required. Drive and direct completion of action item lists for plant corporate audits. Lead and direct all daily/weekly plant performance review meetings. Identifying opportunities for improvement and instituting applicable reactions. Responsible to spend time circulating on the shop floor with all associates, fostering communications and team spirit. Support the plant quality mission statement. Expected to practice and maintain the highest level of professional character in dealing with internal and external needs. Responsible for ongoing completion of assigned red/green checklist activities. Active participation in plant related APQP activities (meeting, participation, idea interjection, etc). Qualifications 4-year college degree, in related degree field desired along with 5-10 years manufacturing management experience in the die cast industry preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting. Knowledge of kaizen, visual workplace 6-s, Kan-ban. Skills: Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from production associates to senior leaders. Ability to function as a team player and be comfortable leading with authority. Ability to build credibility and trust. Ability to influence leaders and change their paradigms. Must be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Minitab statistical analysis software.
