Join us as a Chemical Technician, where you’ll put your love of science to work in the Scientific Insourcing Services department. You’ll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace®

The chemical technician will be doing analytical chemical testing using ICP-MS in a busy lab environment.

Note: This position will work a 5:30pm to 6am rotating shift

Note: This position is expected to last 12 months. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

What you’ll do

• We require a strong analytical background and experience using the ICP-MS instrument for this position. The person for this position will work with this instrument for most of the day.
• Uses established methods to verify the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products.
• Prepares laboratory reagents; files retain samples in appropriate holding areas; enters test data into our SAP or LIMS systems; files vendor certifications and raw materials and production inspections in the appropriate area.
• Participates in general housekeeping, including routine cleaning and maintenance, and performs other duties requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

What you’ll bring

• BS/BA degree in a science field; Chemistry (preferred)
• 2-4 years of related experience
• Experience with ICP-MS, HPLC, GC, FTIR, titrations (manual and automatic).
• SAP or LIMS computer system (preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
• Able to handle stressful situations
• Excellent verbal and good written communication skills are required.
