Job Description: Vice President of Operations

The Vice President of Network Operations is a Houston-based role which reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer and maintains working responsibility for uptime and availability of the Company’s product-based (PetroZone) infrastructure and connectivity to customer sites. The role also maintains responsibility for managing all services, Trouble Ticket management, operational KPIs, and NOC systems’ internal and external Role Based Access Control (RBAC) associated with P97 products and users, in keeping with the Company’s requirements for security and confidentiality. The VP of Operations will also lead the QA, QA Automation, Release Management, and Point of Sale Systems. This position will provide input and recommendations for the implementation of appropriate network strategies, recognizing the importance of Security and availability of these services to the P97 team and P97 customers. This position assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer.

Key Responsibilities 

· Successfully manage a team of up to 30 NOC Analysts in a 24/7/365 environment.

· Troubleshooting across the Company's network based on the relevant process workflows.

· Collaboration with the Company’s IT and Security Department as well as other parts of the Company, such as the QA/Testing and Development teams to deal with network incidents. 

· Improvement and upgrading of network and service management systems.

· Manage the Change Management Process and Methods of Procedures. 

· Implement new procedures to improve network performance and overall NOC response time.

· Development of new features and lifecycle management of the NOC systems. 

· Provide technical leadership across constituents, ensure collaboration, and drive the NOC team to meet critical deadlines for the business goals, technical updates, and performance targets. 

• Effective communications with customers and P97 stakeholders during the customer service process.
• Effective communications with P97 management, especially when responding to internal escalations.

· Microsoft Azure to include IAAS support, resource groups, and enhanced familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity.

· Provides security application- and infrastructure-related projects to ensure that security issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle. 

• Network and infrastructure vulnerability testing and maintenance support
• Provide period (month, quarter, annual) metrics for PetroZone network.

Requirements

Success Factors 

§ 10 years of prior experience in managing a Network Operations Center or Technical Customer Support Role

§ 5 years in a Director or executive management role

§ Track record of successfully managing customer expectations 

§ Experience in developing relationships with customers and internal leaders 

§ Self-motivated and charismatic leader and peer 

§ Strong people management skills, capable to build the team, create a positive culture, and manage new initiatives while multi-tasking existing workload

§ Capable of organizing shifts, designing a way of work, organizing time, and volume of work

§ Solid crisis management skills

§ Experience in completing tasks ahead of defined service level agreement deadlines

§ Ability to be flexible in response to changing priorities and needs

§ Experience with Office 365

§ Experience with MS SharePoint, MS Project, and MS Visio is a plus

§ Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technology (or any cloud technology) is a plus

§ Experience with using the Atlassian software suite, specifically, JIRA or Confluence, is a plus

§ Bachelor’s Degree in networking, technology, or an engineering-related field is a plus

§ Network certifications such as CCNA or CCNP is a plus

§ Strong operational and logistic skills in relation to organizing and managing a global organization

§ Experience and ability to manage a departmental or project budget and expenses

§ Understanding of large scale technology infrastructure and solutions including computing, software, storage, and networking is a plus 

§ Technical aptitude and a passion for staying current with new and upcoming technologies to ensure the best possible solutions for clients.
