Minimum Qualifications

·High school diploma or GED.

·Two (2) years of experience facilitating life engagement or activities programming for groups

·One (1) year of experience supervising and managing a staff of at least 5 employees

·Successful completion of a Certified Medication Aide program in the State of employment OR completion of an RN Delegated Medication Aide program.

·Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

·Related education or certification in the areas of life engagement, recreational therapy, activities programming, or dementia programming

·Previous experience working in a memory care or assisted living community.

Physical Working Requirements

·While performing essential job functions, the employee is frequently required to be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, do repetitive movement, sit and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

·Ability to read and interpret documents, have common send understanding, and perform basic mathematics.

·Have vision and hearing adequate to perform essential job functions.

·Follow OSHA guidelines and universal precautions.

·Ability to travel using personal vehicle, including at night.

·Able to do occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

·Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and/or weekends.

·Employee is subject to outside environment conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
