Description

Outside In is accepting applications for a full time Grants Coordinator to work with our Development team to help ensure grants applications are being followed up on and that data needed from program staff are timely provided.

This position has a starting pay range of $19.76 to $23.59, based on experience and skills. The Grants Coordinator plays a key role in generating revenue for a variety of programs across Outside In’s medical, behavioral health, and youth services departments. This position provides critical support to the entire grants process from research and evaluation to submission and ongoing reporting. The Grants Coordinator will work with staff at all levels throughout the grant development and reporting process to ensure that Outside In complies with all funder requirements and deadlines.

This union represented, exempt position reports to the Development Director, and is a member of the Development Team. This role is eligible for hybrid and/or majority remote work.

What you will do:

  • Develops, writes, and submits grant proposals in collaboration with staff across the agency
  • Actively researches grant opportunities
  • Supports post-award management of funded grants
  • Evaluates RFPs and makes recommendations regarding how to move forward
  • Provides administrative oversight to funded projects to ensure compliance with grant requirements and report deadlines
  • Maintains accurate funder and proposal records in RE/NXT system
  • Supports ongoing development of a pipeline of grants throughout the year
  • Coordinates site visits and tours with funders
  • Maintains and refines grant processes as needed
  • Understands the financial needs of the organization and identifies funders whose missions align with those needs
  • Gathers and maintains current information for potential funders

Qualifications

  • Proficient skills in MS Word, MS Teams, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge / NXT preferred, but not required
  • Commitment to engaging in and promoting an anti-racist culture and to collaborative engagement with the entire Outside In community

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of the current foundation funding model
  • At least one (1) year in development, communications, fundraising, nonprofit work OR formal education and/or lived experience to support your success in this role – tell us about it!
  • General proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Working Conditions

  • This job is located in a standard office environment, and is available for remote work within the state of Oregon. Ability to travel may be needed to support Department events.

Physical Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
  • Standing, sitting, walking, on a regular basis.
  • Regular use of hands and fingers to type.
  • Talking and hearing is required on a regular basis.
