Job Description: Fulfillment Center Supervisor

Outerspace is a new type of Ops Center. We come from the brand side and have built and led operations for companies like Steve Madden, Prada and Nice Laundry. We leverage the latest technology to support our high growth brands and their daily operations. Outerspace provides a number of services including, but not limited to, warehousing and fulfillment, customization and light manufacturing, and product photography. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated fulfillment center Supervisor to join our growing team. In this position, you are responsible for leading the warehouse teams in efficient performance and deliverance of premium customer service. You will participate in the training and development of staff, as well as creating processes to optimize performance.

A successful candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is able to effectively lead teams in day to day duties. They have strong problem solving capabilities, and are capable of resolving task-related issues in a timely manner. The candidate is a true leader and team player, who can improve the workflow of the fulfillment center.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, oversee, and execute fulfillment center functions.
• Ensure employees are trained to carry out their job requirements and ensure their performance is adequate.
• Schedule, manage, train, and coach hourly employees on policies, procedures, duties, and activities.
• Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
• Lead a team to pull and pack scheduled orders.
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
• Assist the organization’s processes to remain legally compliant.
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
• Ensure department measures and manages its KPIs in tandem with operations management.
• Perform quality controls and monitor efficiency of the team.
• Find ways to increase quality of customer service
• Maintain warehouse, and material handling, equipment ensuring preventive maintenance is performed as per schedule.
• Develops and maintains a team through training, motivation, and supervision.
• Directs and supervises all direct staff to ensure goals are established for the warehouse area.
• Provide leadership in the warehouse; own the visual management of warehouse areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of warehousing experience including, but not limited to, retail distribution, logistics, warehouse operations and transportation management.
• Ability to read and write English and solid math proficiency required.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on production with accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as solid math proficiency required.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus. but not required
