This is a full time position 9 - 5:30. You must be infant/toddler teacher qualified or be willing to become qualified. If you are qualified, then that means you must have at least 9 months teaching experience and have taken a Child Development and Behavior college course. If you aren't qualified and would like to start a career in early childhood, then I can help. I am willing to give the right person the experience and guidance to become a great teacher. You must be willing to take 4 college course, one a semester to be qualified. The Strong start program offers free education for those working in the field. You must be serious about being here. People who come and go cause little children stress and they don't know who to count on or trust. You must have a love for children. You must be kind, gentle, easy to get along with and be a little firm so that the children don't walk all over you. You will help care for the children, change diapers, wash children's faces, set up snack, wash dishes and toys. You will probably spend a great deal of time on the floor. You will be writing lesson plans, carry out the lessons, evaluate the children, maintain a clean room, and work well with others. At the end of the day you will close up the classrooms with an aide. Your pay will depend on how well you pick up on the skills, how quickly you take the classes, and become qualified.
