OTIS is Hiring a Remote Software Engineering Manager
- Has responsibility for entire systems, projects, and programs within functional area.
- Works closely with a variety of diverse ogranizations within the Otis Service Center, including New Equipment Business (Florence & HRCLC), individuals in the Field and Otis Engineering Centers
- Accountable for budget, staffing, and business/operational results
- Managerial leadership of a group of a majority of senior individual contributors, along with other junior level contributors in development. These individuals have specific responsbilitlies for certain software systems.
- Overall support and improvements to the following systems: OCSS, MCSS, Merlin, GCS and GCS-Mod, Global Ops and Contractual Software for OCSS, GCS, Compass, and Speech. This includes support of Testers & Simulators.
- Develop skill sets within group for continued support and back-up on products.
- Ensures compliance to applicable National and Local codes. Develops and meets specific project plans to support deployment of new products, software upgrades and contractual modifications.
- Responsbile for the entire EH&S program within the group, including the adherence to NAA and OSC policies
- Cross-functional teamwork to deploy products resolving or preventing obsolescence, including enhancements that could be sold to the end customer.
- Adherence to Otis Absolutes: Safety, Ethics and Quality
- Participate in annual inventory
- BA/BS degree w/10 years experience or
- MA/MS degree w/7 years experience
- Project management experience and ability to develop strategic roadmaps
- Demonstrated ability to solve business challenges via technology solutions
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to engage and motivate a team
- Prior Otis product experience
- Experience leading a team
