The Job: Are you highly organized and detail oriented? If so, this might be the role for you! As the HR Assistant you will be responsible for general administrative functions within the Human Resources (HR) Department. This role requires the ability to multitask in a face-paced environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail. The HR Department works very closely as a team and you will be a key role in making sure that documents and HR tasks are processed, updated and tracked in a timely manner.

The Core Duties:

  • Support the administrative needs of the HR Dept. such as creating correspondence, preparing reports and documents and a wide range of clerical tasks that require attention to detail
  • Track metrics for the HR Dept.; develop and maintain recruiting budget
  • Manage calendars and reserve conference rooms
  • Work with the HR Team to onboard new employees including COVID card tracking, document verification, collect and track work permits, create new hire nametags and badges
  • Assist the HR team with a variety of tasks such as employee engagement events and onboarding new employees
  • Reconcile credit cards for the HR team and manage HR budget tracker
  • Order brochures, business cards, emergency cards, and general HR supplies

The Essentials:

  • 2-3 years of Administrative experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proven attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to learn business applications, such as JazzHR and other ATS platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to problem-solve and work under pressure and time constraints
  • Commitment to fostering the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at the OFJCC
  • Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employees
  • Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment
