Oryana Community Co-op is Hiring a Baker - Full-time/Part-time Near Traverse City, MI

Description

Want to join a great mission-focused team, work with high quality ingredients and make awesome baked goods? Come join the bakery crew at Oryana 10th West!

We are looking for two Bakers to join our awesome team. Must be available to work either opening (approx. 6am - 2pm) or closing (approx. 1:30pm - 9:30pm) shifts. We bake from scratch with primarily organic and local ingredients to create delicious baked goods meeting a wide variety of dietary needs. We are a production Bakery with a professional working environment and are always looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and provide consistently high quality offerings for our customers.

Starting wage is $14-$16/hour, experience considered, with a raise opportunity at 60 days. Full and Part-time employees receive a great store discount (25% off most purchases), paid time-off and other benefits including Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, and 401k with employer match.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will demonstrate an ability to work efficiently and a drive to contribute to the success of our growing Bakery department. Attention to detail, ability to follow recipes and work independently, as well as part of a team, is required. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. Previous production baking or pastry experience is required. Must be available to work during the holidays, Oryana is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
