BAKER / PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR :

Orwashers Artisan Bakery is expanding and we are seeking a Baker / Production Supervisor. You will manage a team of 5 staff producing and baking cookies, croissants, Danish, rugelach, holiday products and other like Sweet items that shows off your excellent production, management and baking skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading the baking and production team to ensure, quality and consistency of our artisan products.
• Innovate and create products keeping with market trends & setting trends.
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety Plans.
• Inventory of All Goods, both dry and finished products.
• Scaling and mixing various fillings and dough.
• Placing ads, interviewing, hiring and training of staff.
• Lead staff meetings to set goals and expectations.
• Maintaining and always improving the culture.
• Management of your own and the staff’s daily and weekly timeline.
• Positive Attitude and Act as a Mentor

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years as a scratch pastry baker, mixer and/or shaper.
• Experienced with natural levains.
• Familiar with different mixing methods.
• Familiar with different shaping techniques.
• Experience using a large-scale sheeter and mixer.
• Knowledge of baker’s percentage and bakery math.
• Basic HR knowledge

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to work a flexible and variable schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
