We are seeking a UX Designer to join the Orvis Team! This is a remote position, based on Eastern Standard Time. As a UX Designer at Orvis you will craft experiences that make a connection in the modern digital world. We do this by employing empathy, data driven insights and deep knowledge of the consumer’s needs. Your role will be responsible for translating user research and best practices into design solutions by creating user stories, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes for websites and digital experiences in a fast-paced, data-driven atmosphere. You will collaborate with UX researchers, digital designers, developers, marketing, and merchandising. You are familiar with Agile workflows and confident with tools such as Sketch, Invision, Figma, and Confluence. Position Interfaces: This position reports to the Senior Manager, UX Design. Responsibilities: Collaborate cross-functional teams to continuously iterate and improve the overall user experience. Execute designs of new feature development from concept to release. Creation of high-quality wireframes, UI designs, user journeys, interactive prototypes, and feature/functionality documentation. Consistently advocate for the design process by presenting and sharing work across teams while clearly communicating design intent and importance to users. Understand the importance of stellar UI and motion design to enhance the overall user experience. Work to identify areas of opportunity and work to improve, optimize, and/or develop better processes for the broader product and design teams. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration efforts via workshops and/or design sprints to understand opportunities and solve for key initiatives. Work with product management data teams to track the performance of new feature releases to better inform opportunities for continued iteration. Present design solutions to internal stakeholders in ways that deepen their understanding of how the design solves the user problem. Competencies and Requirements: 3 years of design and interactive work. E-commerce knowledge and experience. You appreciate the challenge of turning complex problems into simple and engaging experiences, while understanding the importance of designing for accessibility. Confidence and talent when it comes to presenting to stakeholders at all levels. User Research, Wireframing, High-Fidelity Design, Interactive Prototypes, User Testing experience. A solid point-of-view and a collaborative nature. Skills in modern design and prototyping tools. Experience in agile environment. UI / Responsive Design: Mobile, Tablet & Desktop experience required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to think creatively and contribute with innovative ideas.
