We are seeking an Integration Engineer to join the Orvis Team! This is a remote position. The Integration Engineer supports the design, implementation, and support of the organization’s data infrastructure across a variety of applications and systems. Data professionals utilize expertise in data engineering and programming to build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into actionable information and insights for most effective business decision making. Data engineers implement methods to improve data quality and reliability. They also develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling. Position Interfaces: This position reports to the Development Manager of E-Commerce. Responsibilities: Manage Orvis’ data extraction, transformation, and load processes between different systems and operating platforms. Analyze and organize raw data across a variety of applications and systems into usable formats for business consumption Create and maintain optimal data pipelines for the consumption of data into reporting repositories and data warehouse platforms Assemble complex data sets that meet business requirements Apply industry standards and best practices to existing and future data architectures Conduct complex data analysis and report on results Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling Identify opportunities for 3rd party data acquisition and augmentation Identify, design, and implement data infrastructure process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, etc. Contribute to new development for data warehouse systems Ensure data storage, access, and distribution meet compliance and security standards Competencies and Requirements: Previous experience as a data analyst, database administrator, or similar role Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and data segmentation techniques 2 years of experience with one or more ETL tools 2 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Hands-on experience with database design and data modeling Excellent mathematical and analytical skills Degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field Orvis Company associates take pride in our world-class service and products, treating customers, vendor partners, and each other with integrity and mutual respect.
