We are currently looking for qualified Physical Therapists to join our world-class team. In this role, you will plan and administer medically prescribed and necessary physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries or dysfunction of the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, and integumentary systems and help to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent disability by performing the following duties personally or through appropriate delegation to a physical therapy assistant or a physical therapy technician.

Summary/Objective
Plans and administers medically prescribed and necessary physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries or dysfunction of the musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, and integumentary systems and help to restore function, relieve pain and prevent or limit permanent disability by performing the following duties personally or through appropriate delegation to a physical therapy assistant or a physical therapy technician.

Essential Functions
The following includes the essential duties and responsibilities of a Physical Therapist. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Assesses patient condition, establishes goals, treatments and care plan in conjunction with patient, family, and physician
  • Reviews physicians referral/prescription and patients condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
  • Tests and measures patients strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
  • Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
  • Administers physical therapy treatments (including home instruction) within scope of physical therapy practice appropriately and monitors patient responses to such treatments.
  • Evaluates effects of treatments at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Documents findings, treatments, responses and progress in patients charts according to clinic guidelines.
  • Ensures that appropriate treatment is performed in interdisciplinary fashion, consulting with physicians and other departments about impact of PT factors on patient health status.
  • Complies with appropriate clinic policies related to infection control, safety, regulations.
  • Educates patient and patients family on appropriate care and use of various therapies and/or exercises.
  • Serves as information/education resource for patients, families, staff.
  • Provide physical therapy services, maintaining appropriate protocols.
  • Supervises and assists with student observation and clinical rotation if applicable.
  • Assist in marketing and promotional efforts and events as needed.
  • Participates in in-services and other departmental meetings that are organized.
  • Assists with smooth running of the clinic with accepting responsibilities assigned to them by the Therapy Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and staff.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards and applications.
  • Knowledge of clinic policies, procedures, regulations, safety and infection control, and quality control requirement.
  • Knowledge of how to use and maintain physical therapy equipment.
  • Skill in appropriate evaluation and treatment of patients and the ability to evaluate utilization and quality data and make necessary modifications in performance
  • Skill in using PT equipment by consistently using devices appropriately to improve patient health status
  • Skill in effectively supervising physical therapy assistants and physical therapy techs.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands
Employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear. The employee is also required to perform the following: standing, walking, using hands to finger handle or feel, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50# frequently and 70# occasionally, climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl. Requires ability to perform close vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus and spend up to 4-5 hrs in front of a computer.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a fulltime position. Days and hours of work will vary between the hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On occasion, Saturday hours may be required.

Travel
While the Physical Therapist will be working out of one clinic they may need to travel between clinics to help cover patient care at another facility.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelors degree or higher (B.S.) from a college or university; two years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  2. Must possess a Physical Therapy license in state of practice and must be conspicuously displayed at each established practice of business or other location occupied in conducting business.
