We're looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in West Henrietta, USA or Montreal, CA! 

The Position: 

As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll provide technical expertise internally and externally to customers in support of pre and post-sales activities working with high speed networks, data centers and complex systems.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate with outside customers as well as the engineering team, applications team, sales team and operations team globally
• Answer customer questions, diagnose problems, understand requirements and devise solutions while providing excellent customer service- Delighting our customers is key!
• Provide on-site technical expertise and demonstrations upon request
• Provide technical education and documentation to customers, sales, partners and peers
• Provide field input to Product Management in terms of customer/application requirements, customer usability and service viewpoint 
• Potential travel, both domestically and internationally

What you Bring to Orolia: 

• AS or BS in IT Networking Systems, Computer Engineering or Computer Science along with 5 years experience in hands-on data center technical support. 
• Networking certifications are strongly preferred: CCNA, CCNP, CWNP, CWNA, CWNE
• Strong technical knowledge in datacenters and networking- ethernet, routers and switches, servers, SNMP, fiber optics, etc. 
• Experience with wireless communication systems-receivers, transmitters, RF propagation, modulation, etc. 
• Knowledge of software systems, Linux, Windows, Python, version control and testing
• Strong internal and external customer service orientation
• Ability to collaborate and deliver detailed technical information in plain language with clarity
• Ability to collaborate cross functionally and have fun while doing it!
