The entry-level Treasury Accountant will work closely with the Treasury Manager and other members of the finance team to provide support in various treasury functions. Responsible for tracking, maintaining, and overseeing the daily movement of money in and out of a business' banking accounts. Prepares month-end reporting, journal entries and monthly expense account review. Prepares various balance sheet reconciliations with an emphasis on treasury accounts. Files and maintains business licenses, eco fee reporting, and other compliance reports. Assists and prepares internal controls and documentation for Orgill Accounting. Ad Hoc projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute funds transfers and coordinate cash movements as needed.
  • Assist with month-end close to ensure all entries are recorded accurately and timely. 
  • Reconciliation of compliance balance sheet accounts.
  • Filing business licenses and compliance taxes
  • Eco fee reporting and new item coding
  • Assist with annual external audit requests.
  • Update/add internal documentation to Orgill procedures, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or a closely related field
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Experience with accounting systems (preferred but not required).
  • Possesses general understanding of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with others in assigned group with little supervision.
  • Willingness to new tasks as assigned.
