Job Summary:

This position reports to the Operations Manager. This position will also work closely with the Manager of Engineering to implement and maintain best practices. The Maintenance Supervisor shall work with operations to plan maintenance activities with a focus on preventative plant maintenance. This role is accountable for working inside a maintenance budget. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and performs maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This position has multi-craft responsibilities in both the electrical and mechanical fields. The role will leverage both internal and external resources to optimize outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
• Delegate work orders as needed. Ensure all proper permits, training, LOTO, and tools are utilized.
• Own the plant CMMS: accurate inventory, preventative maintenance “book”, work orders, and records.
• Maintain critical spare parts and components.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shop floor. Utilize 5S and kaizen.
• Supervises maintenance workers and contractors.
• 480VAC motor controls. Variable frequency drives.
• Steam boiler and hot oil system maintenance and repair.
• Industrial instrumentation such as: PLC’s, level, pressure, temperature and flow measurement/control.
• Centrifugal and positive displacement pump repair and seal replacement.
• General mechanical maintenance and some light welding.
• Facility Maintenance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance experience in a related field.
• 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 2 year degree or relevant training or military training program preferred, but not required with the right experience. Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Available for call-in. Ability to work rotating shift work including nights, weekends and holidays.
