Grants Administrator - Full-time
Purpose
Oregon Research Institute (ORI) is seeking a Grants Administrator to coordinate all aspects of grants administration, including pre- and post-award administration. ORI is an independent behavioral sciences research center dedicated to understanding human behavior and improving the quality of human life through the prevention and treatment of health, educational, and social problems. Our work is broad in scope, from basic research to understand the causes of human behavior, to applied research to develop programs to promote behavior change.
As a member of the administrative support staff to the Institute, the Grants Administrator will collaborate with the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) for planning, managing, and carrying out the effective delivery of grants management services in support of ORI's mission and goals.
The Grants Administrator monitors and interprets, in collaboration with the DFA and IRB Administrator, all federal funding agency regulations and applicable circulars in the areas of grants, contracts, human subjects protection, compliance, and reporting policies and requirements. Assists research scientists and other staff with project implementation by facilitating the understanding of federal requirements, including annual and final reporting, agreements and subcontract procedures, extensions, carryovers, budgeting, conflict of interest, scientific misconduct, and human subjects compliance. Coordinates on behalf of ORI with federal and other granting agencies and maintains contacts with grantor personnel as a key representative for ORI.
Collaborates closely with Fiscal Accountant and DFA for fiscal oversight, internal controls, and short- and long-term revenue analyses. Provides training and education to the Institute in grants management skills as needed.
Manages the implementation of Conflict of Interest (COI) policies and annual disclosures, and coordinates the COI Committee for the development and monitoring of COI management plans for investigators.
The Grants Administrator reports to the DFA.

Oregon Research Employees work in a hybrid in-office/remote-work environment. The Grants Administrator position may be required to work in the office a certain number of days per week, to be determined. For the right candidate, fully-remote work may be considered.
