The
Oregon Health Authority
, Office of Actuarial and Financial Analytics, has a fantastic opportunity for a junior Financial Analyst to join an excellent team tasked with analyzing key health policies and advancing agency operations. This position will support management and staff through budget analysis, financial risk assessments, and assessment of financial legal compliance.
What will you do?
As a Financial Analyst, you will conduct regular financial analysis based upon equitable practices and analyze data to identify discrepancies or trends. Additionally, you'll work with internal partners and external stakeholders in assessing compliance with legal requirements relating to reporting of financial matters, such as CCO financial oversight and performance against the Oregon Administrative Rules and the CMS waiver requirements.

Work is currently performed remotely, but the successful candidate may be required to work a hybrid schedule to include some days in the office in the future. What we are looking for:
Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public or Non-Profit Management, Finance, Accounting or a related degree (such as Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics or other analytical or technical degree) OR
Three years experience in management, policy or program analysis, or technical-level budgetary support activities
Knowledge of OHA structure, policies, processes and practices
Knowledge of health care insurance financials
Experience working with complex funding streams
Experience with reinsurance programs
Experience in creating and maintaining a work environment that is respectful and accepting of diversity among team members and the people we serve
