Our Protein Assay Development group is seeking to hire a Research Assistant to become an integral part of the biologics drug development effort. We seek candidates who think critically and have the desire and ability to learn new techniques. This position requires adaptability and an ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment. A qualified candidate will have broad technical experience in cell biology and utilizing in vitro models for evaluating efficacy of biologics drug candidates.

Because of the nature of wet lab work, this position will primarily be an on-site role at our lab in New York City (SoHo).

This position will report to the Principal Scientist of Protein Assay Development.

Responsibilities:

• Implement standard cell-based activity assays for evaluating efficacy of biologics drug candidates in a variety of in vitro cell models including immortalized, iPCS-derived, and primary cells.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and the development and implementation of new technology.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate experimental outcomes to internal teams and senior management.
• Present information and data in both written and verbal form
• Documents experimental and process data.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in the biological sciences (e.g. Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or related field) with 2-3 years of relevant postgraduate research or work experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience working with mammalian cell culture, primary cell culture experience preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience performing and analyzing flow cytometry data, multi-color panel design and analysis experience preferred.

• Strong ability in execution and obtaining results independently.
• Familiarity with ELN platforms, ideally with Benchling.
• Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
