The opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Analyst to join ORBCOMM as part of our Business Operations department to provide data and analytical support for business planning and supply chain forecasting, reporting, cost analyses, and evaluating business opportunities. This position is an integral part of identifying continuous improvements for Business Operations.

What you can expect:

• Collect data on supply chain operations.
• Analyze data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency.
• Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations.
• Measure supply chain performance and report to management.
• Work with the procurement, logistics and IT departments to enhance service delivery.
• Assess a company’s processes and inventory, then use that data to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Monitor and collect data on current operations, including scheduling, sourcing, warehousing, production, and delivery
• Gather data on each step within the supply chain, using it to recommend changes to reduce costs

Must-have Skills:

• Experience building and working with analytical modeling tools and preparing reports.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel.
• Ability to understand and translate complex technical information into relevant business terms and concepts.
• Proven ability to think strategically and provide recommendations to management and executives.
• In depth understanding of economics and supply chain forecasting.
• Demonstrated success in improving supply chain KPIs.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities, with a strong sense of urgency.
• Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior project management experience.

Nice to have Skills:

• Post-secondary degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Two or more years' experience in a supply management role or related position.
• Proven knowledge of inventory management.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data.
