Position Details:

Optima Dermatology is recruiting a FP&A Manager to join our Practice Support Center, based in Portsmouth, NH. As a key member of the Finance team reporting to the CFO and working closely with the controller, this role will help drive future growth of the company. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. This individual will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, long-range plan (LRP) modeling, and other projects requested by senior management. This individual will also lead the FP&A Department and will be spear-heading the Company’s financial forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, dashboard reporting and special projects. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities:

Analysis

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Develop dashboards to analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of provider productivity, revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in new initiatives
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
  • Support Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential

Budgeting

  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, and modeling tools

Reporting

  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
  • Prepare presentations to Board of Directors, Lenders and Senior Management Team

Other

  • Mentor and develop Financial Analyst 
  • Document reporting procedures

Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience in management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or traditional high growth corporate FP&A
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or quantitative field
  • Functional experience in healthcare is preferred
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize job duties
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with budgeting tools such as Adaptive and PowerBI preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate high standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and work ethic
  • Knowledge of key financial concepts
  • Strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a team and processes
