Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is Hiring an Ophthalmic Photographer Near Waltham, MA

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) was established in 1969 to offer patients the highest quality eye care and laser/surgical treatment. OCB recently joined forces with Eye Health Services to become the premier eye care provider in the region with nineteen practice locations in the greater Boston area and Cape Cod. In addition, OCB has five affiliated surgery and laser centers. OCB and its affiliates employ 700 employees. The staff of 75 ophthalmologists uses the most advanced diagnostic, laser and surgical techniques available and their level of care has earned Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston a national and international reputation for excellence.
Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is looking to hire an Ophthalmic Photographer. This is a 5 days/40 hr per week position varied days Monday-Friday. The photographer would be responsible for duties for clinical photography and diagnostics departments. The photographer would work in our Waltham location.

We will train in the following duties:

  • Fundus and Disc photography
  • Performing Fluorescein Angiography,
  • Biometry
  • Other forms of imaging and diagnostic measurement

 Requirements:

  • Ability to operate camera smoothly and with confidence.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of focus and exposure techniques.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of photography experience.
  • Covid Vaccine required; you will need to provide your vaccine card prior to start.
  • COA, COT, CRA preferred but not required.

Example of Duties:

  • Photographing ocular pathology
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of imaging supplies.
  • Greets patient and introduces self prior to testing.
  • Explains to patient what patient should expect from photographer's testing.
  • At direction of senior photographer, responsible for performing Fundus, Disc and FA photography for the Retina MDs and all other requesting MDs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ophthalmic Photographer
  • Will maintain the upkeep of all cameras.
  • Attends staff and educational meetings.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Remains up‑to‑date on new technologies.
