About Our Role

Reporting to the Head of NA Enterprise, this position is responsible for running restaurant acquisition and retention along with revenue growth within his/her/their assigned region. We are looking for this person to lead a team of sales representatives and account managers to achieve sales objectives.

The District Manager will ensure proper territory management by his/her team while staying in tune with industry conditions. S/he should be creative in pursuing and overcoming obstacles that his/her team faces. S/he will be depended upon to be insightful and able to offer a different perspective, get creative, and challenge current thinking internally and externally in order to achieve goals. S/he will lead their team through challenging customer and prospect scenarios in and out of the field.

About the role:

  • Develop a team to meet/exceed assigned sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepare annual forecasts, including comprehensive sales and retention planning, for the district.
  • As District Managers we interview, hire and train new sales and restaurant relations team members as needed.
  • Stay current with interpersonal changes, initiatives, and vision. Lead and motivate a team around these.
  • Maintain an authoritative level of understanding of all products and services that OpenTable offers.
  • Coach and support assigned team.
  • Maintain clear communication lines and a sense of camaraderie for your team from a distance.
  • Share and implement standard methodologies with members of the leadership team.
  • Complete annual performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Participate in development and execution of training and mentoring programs.
  • 30-50% travel is expected depending on local market.

About you:

  • Proven successful Account Management Experience within the enterprise restaurant Group sector
  • Shown success running and leading a team
  • Validated sales success
  • College degree encouraged, advanced degree is a plus
  • Restaurant management and/or sales experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent understanding of, and response to, the changing selling and account managment environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong PC skills and overall technically savvy
  • Aptitude to grasp and learn complex concepts quickly and independently
  • Consistent record of successful sales execution, pipeline management, and delivering against goals
  • Ambitious, tenacious and results driven
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Tried negotiation and decision-making ability
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive to perform well under pressure with ambitious goals and deadlines
  • Detailed knowledge of consultative selling process, ability to demonstrate complete control of process with prospects in the field and ability to train other staff on the process
  • At least 5 years of current leadership experience
