Reporting to: VP, Product Management

Location: Remote - US / Boston, MA

How you will make an impact...

This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role. The Product team works extensively with customers, market-facing teams and technical teams to define practical ways to address market needs. Working with Product Oriented Teams (staffed by members of each department), the Product team helps assess and optimize each product’s performance on an ongoing basis. The Product team also takes the lead in developing and maintaining Opensignal's product documentation. 

The Product Manager role is a challenging and rewarding one. The Product department can have an outsized impact on the Company’s future. The ideal candidate will learn quickly, pay close attention to detail, and love solving complex problems using a combination of business acumen and soft skills.

Why are we hiring for this role? Opensignal has an expanding product portfolio, achieved through organic product development and through acquisition. Our success in delighting and retaining clients has allowed us to invest even more in our products. We need more product management help to maintain product quality, respond to change in market need, and plan the next generation of data analytics solutions. 

What you will be doing?

Reporting into our VP of Product, we are looking for a Product Manager to manage Opensignal's existing data products, as well as new product development. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities for the Product team include:

  • Product Roadmap
  • Product Strategy
  • Product Integration (related to M&A)
  • Product Requirements
  • Market Needs
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Opportunity & Business Case Analysis
  • Product Quality Assessment & Optimization
  • Product Development Support (e.g., project planning, input on data validation, rollout planning)
  • Stakeholder Management (across Executive, client service, sales, and technical teams)
  • Product Documentation (e.g., pitch slides, client materials, contract language, internal Wikis)
  • Sales Training (on products, value proposition, etc.) 

Desired Skills & Abilities

  • Extensive experience in product management, marketing,or professional services
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with customers with stakeholder management in a client-facing or internal role
  • Experience working cross-functionally to achieve business objectives
  • Strong business writing skills and ability to create visually compelling slides
  • Attention to detail, including command of technical product information 
  • Telecom industry knowledge in sectors such as wireless, cable, broadband, mobile devices, and enterprise networking
  • Experience with Big Data and data analysis, in a development or delivery role
  • Basic data analytics skills (Excel, SQL)
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced and unstructured environments
