OpenExchange is Hiring a Remote Business Development Manager

Job Status: Full Time

Location: Virtual – US Based (East Coast Preferred)

Job Scope:

  • As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for continuing to scale and lead our sales development organization. You will be an integral part of the sales leadership team by providing continuous mentorship for our Business Development Representatives (BDR), refining our sales process, defining and tracking our KPIs and spearheading BDR recruiting.
  • Work closely with other leaders in sales, marketing, sales operations, marketing operations, and sales enablement to drive the strategy for the sales development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to recruiting, hiring, coaching, and managing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDR)
  • Proactively identify and launch initiatives to drive new business development growth and operational excellence
  • Monitor and refine processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the BDR team
  • Achieve quarterly and annual pipeline and revenue targets
  • Report on pipeline-building metrics and forecast to senior sales management
  • Motivate individuals and team to exceed objectives through coaching and mentorship
  • Work with marketing and sales operations to ensure thorough follow up of inbound leads
  • Empower your team to take ownership of their territory
  • Ensure that team metrics are aligned with the broader organizational objectives
  • Provide insightful feedback from prospect conversations to product, sales and marketing leadership Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing high performing sales development teams (technical sales/SaaS focus preferred)
  • Strong understanding of sales development best practices (cadence management, cold-calling, objection handling, etc.) and pipeline building process
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Humility and empathy for the challenges our prospects face on a daily basis
  • Strong personal contributor having the desire and energy to roll up sleeves and make things happen.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Experience within a fast-paced environment.
