Level 2 Desktop Support Technician

Our client, a global leader in innovative technology is looking for a Desktop Support Technician who will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, and other related equipment.

Primary job duties include:

• Respond to and resolve technical support requests from users, including troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, peripherals, and software.
• Provide technical assistance to less experienced technicians and users.
• Maintain inventory of desktop equipment and software licenses.
• Create and maintain documentation for desktop procedures and protocols.
• Escalate issues to Level 3 support as needed.
• Provide remote support and on-site support as required.
• Support onsite meeting setups in a MS teams environment
• Keep abreast of new technologies and industry developments to ensure the organization's technology remains current.

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

• A degree in computer science or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in desktop support, with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues.
• Excellent customer handling skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and best practices.
• Good understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting, including experience with VPN, DNS, and DHCP
• Strong knowledge of desktop hardware and software, experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with desktop operating systems such as Windows and MacOS, and a good understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting.

Work Environment:

• Weekend and after hour support may be required time to time.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $15.24 - $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Kansas City, KS: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
